Software Developers III

Duties: Assist Project Manager with carrying out complex software design projects.  Apply advanced theoretical knowledge of software development and engineering theories and principles to perform the following duties:  Coordinate the execution of trial runs of programs and software applications to ensure they produce the desired information.  Responsible for the execution of extensive system study, design, development and testing in Oracle environment to meet customer requirements.  Develop and troubleshootcomplex software systems that run in mixed-environments, including Unix.  Write, update, and maintain computer programs and software packages to handle specific jobs, such as tracking inventory, storing or retrieving data, or controlling other equipment.  Coordinate and perform analysis in database statistics, data management, statistical research, system study, programming and documentation.  Write, analyze, review, and rewrite programs, using workflow charts and diagrams.  Apply advanced knowledge of computer capabilities, subject matter, and symbolic logic design to develop, test, and support Java/J2EE web-based applications using, among other tools, Servlets, JavaScript programming language, Weblogic, Oracle, and PL/SQL relational database applications.Assist Project Manager with performing in-depth quantitative analysis in order to facilitate efficient and effective development. Expand existing programs to increase operating efficiency or adapt to new requirements.  Write documentation of program development inserting comments in the coded instructions so others can understand the program.  The foregoing duties involve supervision of projects only, not personnel.  May perform other job duties considered normal to this occupation.

RequirementsThe normal minimum requirements for the offered position are: Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Information Systems, or any related IT or Engineering field of study that provided the required skills and knowledge, plus 3 years of experience in any related position providing the required skills and abilities.  In lieu of the above-state primary education and experience requirements, the employer will accept a related bachelor’s degree and 5 years of post-degree, progressive experience in any related position providing the required skills and abilities. Employer will accept a foreign degree.  Any suitable combination of education, training or experience is acceptable.  The term suitable, in this context, means substantially compatibility with stated job academic level and experience requirements and ability to perform job duties.
